The IS/OOP Group is engaged as Internet Application Developers and Web Developers. Currently we have offices in both Kenya and the USA. As micro-entrepreneurs we view our skills as an important commodity of our countries.

There is a drain of highly skilled persons moving away from developing countries. We firmly believe in a market-oriented approach of directly providing work to application developers in developing countries such as Kenya to combat the problem of “brain drain”. Our developers are paid a wage scale the same as those of developers in developed countries such as the US and the EU. We can do this because we deliver projects within the specified time frame and budget using industry standards. We stay cost competitive by leveraging the virtuality of the Internet for both voice and data. With adequate bandwidth we realize the efficiencies of VoIP, Groupware, and teleconferencing to communicate and work with our clients internationally and pass the savings to our clients while maintaining US and EU wage scales for our developers.

Our teams have developed large scale Internet and Intranet projects in the USA for the US Veterans Administration, Yale University, Panasonic USA and Viterion TeleHealthcare a Bayer - Panasonic Company. In addition our junior team members are also Systems Analyst and Programmers for the government of Kenya, or on contract with Kenyatta University's Computer Science Department as teachers and instructors, and have developed databases for the United Nations Office At Nairobi.

The database tools we use are; MS SQL Server, MS SQL DTS, InterSystems Cache, Microsoft Access, MySQL, WinSQL The programming languages they use include : DHTML, HTML, SGML, SQL, TSQL, VBA, VB, XML, XSLT, CSS, Java Script, VB Script. These are highly educated and experienced professionals who have been published, received awards, and educational credits in their fields of work.
